So many white butterflies in the garden today, they move so haphazardly it was difficult to catch them with the the lens! I like the way that photography can make you pause and look at something so familiar (like the back garden) with completely fresh, curious eyes. I'd never normally pay undivided attention to the bright iridescent flies hanging round, the ladybugs crawling amongst the rocket leaves or the books lined up in the back shed but with a camera in hand everything takes on a new significance.
