Colours

My friend Anja is making a massive art installation out of "rope" that she has taught people in the community to twist together from bits of old clothes and curtains. On the weekend a big group of us sat on the beach and roped between swims and it was just one of those incredibly beautiful afternoons. There were big families cooking up barbecues in the park, kids playing in the lagoon and everything just had this lovely, vibrant, summery feel to it. I like looking at the bright colours of these photos now that the brief hot weather has been replaced with grey clouds (which I don't mind either, it just calls for books and socks instead of beach towels and cold fruit!).
