Tomorrow we leave for a month and a bit's worth of roadtripping, camping, bushfires, peppermint tea, exploring, tree-admiring, bird-watching, intensive beard-growing (my boyfriend, not me), drawing, reading and general immersion in the beautiful wilderness of Tasmania.

Sometimes I feel overwhelmed because there are so many places in the world that I would love to see and explore and experience- it almost makes me panicky when I think of all the places that I want to visit in my lifetime! But it always helps to remember that, ultimately, to travel (and to have the time and money to do so) is a huge privilege, one that many, many people in the world never get the chance to enjoy. I'm going to try and soak up every moment of this trip.
