I think something I would like to do one day is make a big quilt (although I'll have to learn to sew properly first).
Mum used to make them with a group of her friends and I always loved how each person would collect different squares of fabrics with colours and patterns that they were drawn to, so that in the end you would have all these beautiful, unique blankets.
These ones (from Niki Jones) made from second-hand Indian saris are so beautiful. The colours are just incredible.

Usable art has always had great appeal to me. Working with fabrics rich in color and design, creating a montage of design has a special quality that mostly is of women artists. Sharing this wearable or usable art with another adds a dimension that is exclusive to this type of art. Your blog is lovely. Thanks, pat
