chimney smoke.

Just some things I am liking, nothing more.

I really like how the back of a canvas is used here to display a photo and awesome bike drawing. (Especially since I recently discovered that I'm completely incapable of drawing bikes. And horses.) I think I will not-so-subtly steal this idea soon.

What an awesome idea for a competition here. Building boats out of natural bits and pieces.

Extremely excited about eating cauliflower, thanks to the awesome vegetarian food blog 101 Cookbooks.

And..

I think I'm in love with my camera. After two rolls of film that turned out way better than I was expecting I can't wait to use it more and more. Maybe it's because I don't fully understand how it works, or maybe I'm just romanticising the process way too much, but I don't think I'll ever get over the AMAZING fact that this little machine can literally capture moments in time and leave you with a physical souvenir of one second of your existence. Mindblowing.

(I've also started writing little mini-stories on the backs of my developed photos, just a few words describing where it is, or even how I felt in that moment. I'm kind of hoping that one day I'll get to read them, and look at the photo, and be able to remember the warm sun, or the taste of the food, or the smile, or whatever it is and realise how lucky I am to have experienced those moments.)

oh good, it's a really inspiring food blog..the pictures alone are incredible!

that's cool that you're thinking about not eating meat anymore. there is a really interesting talk by Jonathan Safran Foer about his book Eating Animals, if you're interested I will try and find the link to it.

It is just a very well-put argument for not eating meat, and it kind of pushed me over the edge (so to speak) into giving more serious consideration to being vegetarian
